La revista está abierta a la recepción de trabajos durante todo el año, excepto cuando existen convocatorias difundidas a través de su página Web. Los trabajos se deben enviar al correo del editor hcadenas@uchile.cl y no por registro en esta página. Se debe hacer notar que debido a la cantidad de trabajos recibidos, la evaluación de cada trabajo puede durar entre 4 y 8 meses.
MAD publica también artículos en versión “Vista Temprana” (Early View), los cuales han sido aceptados para publicación, revisados por pares y corregidos antes de la publicación del número, permitiendo a sus lectores acceder más rápidamente a sus contenidos. Cada artículo posee una fecha de publicación en línea y un DOI, lo que permite que sean citados tan pronto como se publican.

Diferenciación funcional de la sociedad e institucionalismo centrado en el actor: construyendo una herramienta analítica para los estudios internacionales
Resumen
Considerando a los Estudios Internacionales como un complejo campo transdisciplinario, se pretende construir una herramienta analítica versátil que desde una teoría sociológica permita observar cualquier dinámica propia de las diversas interacciones desarrolladas por actores organizados a nivel mundial. Se pretende obtener dicha herramienta a través de la síntesis teórica entre la Teoría de Sistemas Sociales (TSS), en específico la teoría de la Diferenciación Funcional de la Sociedad y el Institucionalismo Centrado en el Actor (ICA) de Scharpf y Mayntz. En su desarrollo, la propuesta compara y evalúa en su compatibilidad/incompatibilidad conceptos y elementos provenientes de esas tradiciones para así construir una herramienta apropiada para ser socializada y enseñada para el análisis de políticas internacionales, con el horizonte de informarse, reflexionar, analizar y asesorar la toma de decisiones de distintos organismos incidentes en la configuración de áreas temáticas y arenas, entendidas esto como un espacio temático de bienes en disputa, en distintos niveles, que van desde lo local a lo global. A través de este ejercicio de síntesis se pretende elaborar un aparato conceptual que provea un instrumental analítico-práctico, adecuado para efectos de abordar el análisis de diversas dinámicas interactivas y de orden sistémico, propias de la sociedad mundial y sus regiones.Palabras clave:
