Abstract

This paper describes a part of the results from the doctoral research “Practices in SNS: audiovisual fiction for identity construction”. In the following pages, you can find a theoretical argument about digital duality or the difference between the conversation inside the screen and outside it, having as starting point the interaction of users with television series. The research used a mixed-qualitative methodology, modifying Grounded Theory and using triangulation as a central tool for data gathering. Theory of Practice (Reckwitz, 2002) was in the bases of the analysis. The conclusions show that for the group of people within the research, there’s no such thing as an average from their material life and what’s happening in SNS.
